About This Hunt

Hunt Country The country lies in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Middlesex. Best Centres: Kimbolton, whence meets of the Oakley and Fitzwilliam can be reached; Cambridge, whence meets of the Thurlow can be reached; St. Neots on the Oakley border; Huntingdon on the Fitzwilliam border; and Royston.

Hunt History The Cambridgeshire Hunt dates from the latter end of the 18th century, and the country as now constituted has existed in its original form since its beginning. The Enfield Chace Hunt was established in 1935 to hunt the country formerly hunted by Major Smith-Bosanquet in the Hertfordshire Hunt country. The Cambridgeshire amalgamated with the Enfield Chace at the beginning of the season 2001-2002.
