About This Hunt

Hunt Country The country is situated on the southernmost part of Devon and includes the south-eastern corner of Dartmoor. It is bounded to the south east by Dartmoor; to the north west by the Spooners and West Dartmoor and Mid Devon; to the north east by the Silverton and the East Devon; and to the south east by the sea.

Hunt History The Hunt was established at the beginning of the nineteenth century by George Templer of Stover. The date is uncertain but it was before 1910. A concise history of the South Devon has been written by the late Edward J.F. Tozer, a former secretary.
